What is Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is an allied health profession, based on evidence-based science that strives to enable people of all ages, to prevent and/or live life optimally with injury, illness, or disability .

Occupational therapists have a holistic perspective and assist people across their lifespan by adapting their environment and/or task to fit the person. They intervene with specialised therapeutic techniques and strategies, to ensure functional participation in all spheres of life.

Common occupational therapy interventions include helping children with different abled abilities to participate fully in school, home and community situations.

Occupational Therapy Intervention

Occupational therapy intervention helps the child develop new skills, adapt old patterns and develop their basic abilities to ensure functional participation in all spheres of his/her life.
